“Modern Yellow.” Commissioned in June 2006 for good friends kitchen remodeling project. Ideally printed on high gloss at 24″ x 36″ minimum. Completed June 29th, 2006.
In late May 2006 I was contacted by good friends – a musical couple who was looking for a custom art piece for their kitchen which was undergoing a moderate remodel. We discussed passions to be reflected in the piece over coffee and piano music, and narrowed the elements desired down to music, (naturally) coffee, flowers, airplanes, and a few other possibilities that could be thrown in at my discretion. We also rambled about the future kitchen colors, the weather, and their beloved dog whom I’ll lovingly refer to as Zippy. The finished product is titled “Modern Yellow” and is portrayed above.
